The Global Village
The Global Village is a sort of café where every group representing a certain country poses his stand rich with local food, pictures, local traditions etc…Some Groups have represented the cultural side of their chosen country while some others preferred to distribute some stickers and souvenirs to others. It was quite an excellent activity in as much as the environment was pretty well, the music was nice and the delegates were so presentable. On May 3, the large family of GC–LAUMUN, including delegates, school teachers, LAU MUN staff, and other guests, had the chance to attend the “Global Village” celebrations in front of the Fine Arts Building. Around 70 stands, decorated with flags, posters, images, and souvenirs, were set up to showcase the cultural heritage of various countries. Dressed in traditional costumes, delegates offered their national foods and danced to the rhythm of diverse music genres.
